Taiwo Akerele distances self from those fighting the National Chairman
…Says Shaibu and Ogie are those behind the foolish rebellion
The Chief of Staff to Edo State Governor, Taiwo Akerele, has distanced himself from the protest against the National Chairman of the APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, and accused Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu and SSG, Osarodion Ogie, as those fanning the embers of war and urging the inept Obaseki to fight the leader of the party.
Akerele who has since been negotiating a soft-landing at the APC NEC in Abuja made this known in a call to the LGA Leader of Ikpoba Okha, Osarobo Idahosa among other numerous leaders. He says he has always advised the governor to pursue peace and reconciliation instead of the needless fight he has embarked on which he is now doomed to lose.
According to the Chief of Staff, Philip Shaibu and Osarodion Ogie are the ones egging the governor on, asking him to fight the National Chairman, for their own personal gain.
His revelation and attempt to disassociate himself from the governor’s sinking ship is an attempt to save himself following the discovery that Godwin Obaseki’s plan to unseat the National Chairman has failed and the majority of powerbrokers in the party, including the Presidency, are solidly behind Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.
